College

As we moved through Advent toward Christmas, we have studied how God broke the rules of nature, law, society, and religion to send His Son into the world. By using unlikely characters to tell the story -  Mary and Joseph, the lowly shepherds, and wise men who foretold the future -  we have seen how God used uncommon circumstances to bring about the miracle of Jesus’ birth.

Now we move on to see how this revolutionary story starts to play out in the world.

Our worship services on Sunday, January 1, will be led by our college students. Come and be a part of it. This is a great tradition within our church family!

Please join us on Sunday mornings at 9:50am in room 113.

St Matthews Welcomes the Colliver Family

The Student Minister Search Team is pleased to announce that Jeremy Colliver has been overwhelmingly affirmed by the congregation to become the next Minister with Students at SMBC. Jeremy comes to us from Georgetown, KY, where he most recently served at Faith Baptist Church. Besides having served a number of years in student ministry, Jeremy is also a prolific creator of student curriculum and an active leader in the Kentucky Baptist Fellowship and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.

We eagerly await Jeremy’s start on August 1, and also to the arrival of his wife, Laura, and children, Blaine (age 4) and Molly (age 19 months). Help us give a warm welcome to the entire Colliver family and a sincere thank you to Valerie Vincent for her leadership during the interim period. We anticipate many wonderful days ahead as Jeremy leads our students in new and exciting ways.
