ST. MATTHEWS YOUTH MINISTRY
St. Matthews is a fun place for students in grades 7-12 to connect with God through . . . |

FUN!
St. Matthews desires that all students have a fun time at all events held for youth in grades 7-12. One of the favorite activities of our high school students is playing paintball on the annual High School Retreat. |

FRIENDSHIP
St. Matthews fosters an environment where students from different backgrounds can become great friends. Lasting friendships are formed as students faithfully attend weekly programs such as Student Impact (Wednesday night Bible study) and Fuel (Sunday morning Bible study). Christian friendships build students up and keep them strong!
(Mark 12:28-31 & Mark 2:1-12) |

|
BIBLE STUDY
Studying God's word is a high priority in the youth group at St. Matthews. Qualified leaders want students to know that God's word is relevant in a teenager's life! |

MISSIONS
Students at St. Matthews desire to live out the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20. The Youth Mission Trip is one of the favorite trips taken by the youth each year. Students have been on mission trips to Denver, Colorado - Toronto, Canada - Arlington, Texas - and have also been to Brazil. |
| |
|
PRAYER
Students are encouraged to pray continually and to pray on all occasions. Students have a prayer room in their youth center where they are encouraged to write praises and prayer requests on the wall. |
 |
| |
|
 |
WORSHIP
Students are taught that worship is a lifestyle. Worshiping God enables students to stand up under temptation (1 Corinthians 10?13). In worshiping God, students are encouraged to live out Romans 12:1-2 - to not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but to be transformed by the renewing of their mind. This renewing of the mind takes place in worship. |
