Worshiping
with our church family so God’s presence may mutually shape us.
Ash Wednesday Service - The spiritually focused time of preparing for Easter is called Lent. This 40-day period, minus Sundays, begins with a conscious day of humility and gratitude for the forgiveness of sins made possible by the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. Lent climaxes with Holy Week, through worshipers intensely remembering the passion of Christ. (Thus we have Holy Week Services.) The crescendo is Easter, of course, but we must begin our preparations now to be ready for the miracle of Easter. This worship experience occurs in our chapel at 6:15 p.m. Then e ach Wednesday between Ash Wednesday and Easter, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Silent Communion is available in our chapel. You may enter, take Communion, and depart at your convenience. A special written guide is provided weekly to help you through the experience.
